Nightmare Gargoyle

The Nightmare Gargoyle is a type of gargoyle that gets more powerful whenever it feeds off nightmares. Each time it absorbs more power, its body shape changes and grows larger.

Appearance[]

Forms[]

Each shape is dependent as increases in size and power through the nightmares of the Winx (except for Flora who had escaped the trap)

First Form: His original form when Trix created it is a little monster gargoyle.
Second Form: After rounding Stella's dream, it enlarges to become a Wolf-shaped porcupine.
Third Form: After rounding Musa's dream, it changes to a spider with one eye. This is also the form that is seen in Season 4 but transparent and light-green.
Final Form: Once cornered Tecna's dream and probably Bloom's, it becomes a bigger and stronger than previous forms monster. Here it is capable in launching green magical energy and more resistant to magical attacks.

Season 1[]

The Nightmare Gargoyle was summoned by the Trix to weaken the Winx by forcing them to relive their deepest concerns in their dreams in an effort to weaken Bloom enough to steal the Dragon's Flame. They had nearly succeeded had the Winx not caught on and were informed by Mirta of its abilities and goals. On the second night of the its rampage, the Winx were prepared and prevented it from weaken Flora. They chased it out of into the quad but most of them were having difficulty keeping up due to the night horrors tiring them out. The Nightmare Gargoyle now targets Bloom, weakening her enough that the Trix could join the fight and begin to steal her powers. That is, until the noise woke everyone up including Faragonda. She would then deals with the monster without much difficulty and with some assistance from Bloom, the gargoyle is complete annihilated.

Season 4[]

Aisha defeats four of them while training with Nebula in "Morgana's Secrets." These ones are not real but merely simple mystical manifestations used for training.

Magical Abilities[]

It has the ability to feed off of nightmares, which supplements his growth and upgrading his forms. This creature is resistant to fairy attacks. To defeat him, they must attack many times at the same moment.

It is shown that his powers can begin inflicting nightmares on someone within proximity of it.

Trivia[]

All of its transformations resemble Freezer (villain of Dragon Ball Z). Both have abilities to transform to the extent of having more strength.
The third form is like garbage cockroaches.
The original form was used as the design for the Titan Impet in Huntik: Secrets and Seekers, another series created by Iginio Straffi and Rainbow S.r.l..
The final form also appeared in Huntik as a Titan in a flashback.
